To our young students, who are courageously stepping into the unknown, this chance to be accepted into the intimacy of a family’s home in a foreign land is an opportunity of a lifetime…one that often results in close relationships being formed between the students and their host families.
Many of these relationships become even closer over time, as life’s journey continues to be shared at a distance between students and member of their host families via the internet and social media. Some relationships have become life-long friendships.
